Casa Rovai PHOTO GALLERY

Welcome to the photogallery page: a selection of photos taken in our neighbourhood as well as around the city. You can admire some images of the main churches, monuments, markets and streets that surround this area. You will find also photos of the rooms of our B&B.

Our b&b is located in the heart of Florence in a large, quiet apartment located on the first floor of an historical palace (no elevator) in the neighborhood of San Pier Maggiore. Our rooms are large and quiet, no window faces the street. There is a terrace where our guests can relax; the breakfast room has two computers at our guests' disposal. Our rooms are decorated with frescoes dating from the XVIth century and with original 19th and 20th century furniture.

The street dates back to the old walls originally built around the city, and is called Via Fiesolana after Dante's journey to Fiesole that began from here. The property is just a few steps away from the Duomo (the Cathedral), the beautiful Santa Croce Church with the marvellous Cappella dei Pazzi, the Synagogue, the Uffizi Museum and the Accademia Gallery as well as boutiques, restaurants, cafés and markets.

We are located two steps away to Florence's main theatres, between the Pergola and Verdi theatres. The Ciompi Square hosts the antiques market (open every last Sunday of each month). In nearby Ghiberti Square you will find the Mercato di Sant'Ambrogio, a 19th century food market.

Near the above markets, our guests will be able to find excellent cafés and restaurants with extraordinary authentic Tuscan food.

The San Miniato al Monte Church (next to the famous Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can admire a fabulous complete view of Florence and its hills), a magnificent Romanesque church in a unique setting, is thirty minutes far walking from our bed&breakfast!
