Casa Rovai guest house has been in current owner's family since the beginning of the 1900s.
Completely restructured in 2005, the apartment offers single, double and triple rooms (each with its own private bathroom), a large breakfast room and a living room for relaxing in.

Casa Rovai is tastefully decorated with original 19th and 20th century furniture and has its own private bathroom (inside the room or just outside), air conditioning, TV-SAT, free wireless connection and a safe.
Breakfast and free Internet connection in the breakfast room are included in price.

Reservation service for museums, restaurants, tour planning... more than a hotel with the charm of a small B&B!

We wanted a place that was centrally located in Florence that was also reasonably priced and comfortable. We were not disappointed. We did the walk from the train station in about 15 minutes. Arianna met us when we arrived and gave us suggestions on sights to see and local restaurants. The room was quiet and comfortable and we were even provided a hair dryer to use. The breakfast was good and the staff was excellent. We would definitely return to Casa Rovai for a future visit to Florence.

Perfect location, rooms with the necessary amenities, reasonably priced for the room & breakfast. Arianna was extremely helpful with restaurant suggestions, unique places to see beyond the obvious, and is a delightful person. Her fluency in many languages is a huge plus for travelers! Enjoy!

My daughter, my sister and I stayed at Casa Rovai on a trip in April 2007. We found it a lovely place and will stray there again on our next visit. Having read the other reviews, I share the same feelings expressed by the other guests. Arianna and Beatrice were charming and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable

My first encounter with Casa Rovai began with a visit to their website. I was attracted to the Italian deco and the ease through which I could navigate my way around the site. I then contacted Casa Rovai and was greeted by Arianna who had shown great communication and was able to respond very quickly to emails, queries or any questions I had. Upon arrival I received a very warm welcome from Beatrice who showed me to my room (I loved the room I stayed in - La Lira. For a single room it was spacious, airy and comfortable #1. Loved the frescoes deco. #2. Great mattress!!) I was guided around the facility, given a map of Florence and recommended some really good places to eat! This was great because I was travelling alone and worried about where I'd eat and feel comfortable, but Beatrice ironed this all out for me. Casa Rovai is a great place to stay because it’s great value, it is located in the heart of Florence (about a 10 minute walk from the Dome), and is very quiet and serene. It is also a great place to stay because of the warm atmosphere that is generated by the owners and the staff, which seem to filter out amongst the guests that stay there. I am pleased to say that I have made friends as a result of my stay at Casa Rovai. I was travelling alone - so making friends was an important part of my experience in Florence. It’s at 10 out of 10 for me ;-)

Casa Rovai is a wonderful and warm place to stay! We traveled with a big group to Firenze for our wedding and decided to stay in the Historical City Center before the big festivities began. We had about 15 people and rented out the entire B&B – what a perfect choice! Casa Rovai is located on the 2nd floor of a historical house. It’s quaint and charming with all the modern amenities. Everyone was super excited when we arrived! We stayed in the room with the 800 year old frescoes! I would highly recommend this room – the bathroom is super clean, the bed very comfortable and the view just as sweet. The staff was super helpful with maps, recommendations, and more. We will definitely return to Casa Rovai again!

My husband and I stayed at Casa Rovai on the final leg of our 3 week trip to Europe this summer. We had booked online and made our decision based on price, location and accomodations (air conditioning, TV, private bath). We arrived in Florence by train, walked the short distance to Casa Rovai and were initially unsure if we had made a good choice. After ringing a buzzer at the entrance, we were surprised to see several flights of stairs ahead of us in a building that seemed very plain, almost institutional. We picked our bags up, gave each other a look and headed up. From the moment we were greeted by Arianna at the door to the hotel, however, we had nothing but a wonderful experience. The room was not fancy but very clean, large and comfortable. The breakfast (included in the 110E price) was excellent, with many choices, but most importantly Arianna was the most gracious, helpful and engaging person imaginable. She gave us excellent advice regarding restaurants, not only location but how to avoid the tourist treatment and prices at each place. Thanks to her, Florence definitely became our favorite dining experience of our trip. We needed a taxi at 4:30am to the airport, and were concerned that it may be difficult to arrange. Thanks, once again, to the efficient help of Arianna the taxi pulled up at 4:30 on the dot and we were at the airport in plenty of time. We have many wonderful memories from each city we visited this summer, our stay at Casa Rovai certainly among them. Karen and Richard
